Nicknamed the ‘Invincibles’ how the season went is not up for interpretation. The Gunners side was undefeated, as far as the 38 Premier League games went.

Twenty six wins along with twelve tied games saw Arsene Wengers side finish the League with 90 points, 11 above second place Chelsea.

With still a game left in 2017, Manchester City are only seven wins away from equaling the invincible win total from that season.

Five of those tied games were against sides who’d finish in the bottom eight, including not getting the better of Portsmouth that season.

Along the way, Arsenal scored 73 goals over the 38 games. City currently are only twelve behind, having scored 61 so far this season. The current trajectory of the Blues could see them smash both the goals scored tally and the points total.
