August and September:

August: To be honest, it wasn’t the best of starts for City this season. Certainly the opening three games, home and away, didn’t show any hint of the dominance we would go on to show.

August had the single home game, and we almost lost it. Down to ten men against Everton, it was a late Raheem Sterling strike which salvaged the point. I say late goal, it was the 82nd minute. Raheem has since gone on to score later, important goals!

Sept: This month was simply fantastic. Three games, two League and one Champions League.

It all started with a 5-0 defeat of Liverpool was diluted by pundits because Sadio Mane had been sent off. However, we had already gone a goal up plus see Everton above!

Three away games later and it was the visit of Crystal Palace. Another 5-0 win was eventually comfortable, after waiting until just before half-time for the first goal.

Finally, it was Shakhtar Donetsk and another victory. A 2-0 win meant we left September with 100% home record, but also no goals conceded at the Etihad.
