I like to highlight this guy because he is such an improvement from last season. Fans were less than impressed with Bravo replacing Joe Hart, and knives were out as the England and City legend was tossed aside for the Chilean.

This season though, I don’t see any of that hostility towards the goalkeeper, or Pep. Ederson is exactly what Pep expected Bravo to be last season, and you have to say, he is a step or two up.

This season has been poor for Hart also, with his England place almost certainly in jeopardy. The Wayne Rooney goal scored from inside his own half illustrates this.

Ederson plays a lot of the game on the edge of his box, ready to come out and deal with balls over the top. Both calm and brave, Ederson provides that security at the back which allows defensive players to join the attack. The only thing missing from his game is a goal, but you wouldn’t be surprised if he does get on the score sheet at some point this season!
