It most certainly wasn’t easy for Guardiola’s side Sunday evening. Having seen a majority of their rivals dropping points on Saturday, it was a chance to increase the gap over more sides. Pep had said it wouldn’t be a straight forward game, and so it proved.
Prior to the game, Huddersfield boss, David Wagner had said that instead of identifying our weaknesses, he would focus on stopping us playing our strengths. You’d have to say, that for the majority of the game it seemingly worked. Of course, we were not without fault, wasting a plethora of chances in the first half in particular.
Going behind just before the half-time whistle, City eventually came back to secure the victory. But what did we learn from the game?
