Despite his stats, this guy is still getting a lot of hate. He will always get it from Liverpool fans, sure, but some City fans are still unconvinced.

His four Champions League goals has him the top Manchester City scorer in the competition. Scoring as many as Aguero and Jesus combined.

That’s his most goals in Europe in any one season, and only one goal away from doubling his European total from the beginning of the season.

In the League he is third top scorer, a goal behind Jesus and Aguero. Combined, in all competitions, he is currently our top scorer. Those eleven goals in all competitions has him level with his previous best tally, of eleven. He has reached that total twice before, in his last season at Liverpool and his first season with us.

Against Feyenoord I think he was one of the standout players in Blue. Full of running, despite being kicked and pushed all night. I am not saying he is the finished article as yet, far from it. He still is prone to those frustrating moments, but they are fewer and further in between.

His give and go against Feyenoord was something he’d been working on while his finish was composed and controlled. Given the time of the game running out, and with the keeper coming out he showed great composure just to wait for Jones to go down before chipping it into the corner.
