Having already qualified for the next round of the Champions League, it was now a case of securing top spot. Pep Guardiola rotated a little for this game, but not as much as I expected. With the games coming thick and fast, and with Stones joining the injury list, I thought we’d see more protection of the ‘starters’.

It was reported that Pep Guardiola, despite the victory, was less than impressed with the performance. I think that just shows how far the club has come over the last few seasons. Five wins from five in the Champions League group stage is great on paper, but the gaffer demands more.
