Manchester City: Rashford better than Jesus
Well folks, he’s still around. Ryan Giggs seemed to have fallen by the wayside in recent months. Occasionally popping up to declare his interest in any, and every, management job available. Now, plying his trade in the footballing rich country of Vietnam, he’s let out more garbage about our very own Gabby Jesus.
Now, you can insert your own jokes about why he’s in the country. Based on his personal history, and a few lines from movies such as Full Metal Jacket, should give you enough to be going on with.
He’d announced his interest in the job at Leicester when it was vacant. However, those at the KP decided a manager sacked by Southampton was a better choice, while Everton still haven’t a manager in place currently.
In an interview taking place before the International friendly, Giggs spoke out to say that Rashford was better than Jesus, because he had a better work rate. Really? Maybe he means running the ball out from the back after having everyone sit inside the box?

Now, looking at these stats, I think there is a clear winner, production wise. Our very own Gabby has a much superior goal to game ratio when compared to Marcus Rashford. His fellow National team-mate, Dani Alves, has also come out to say Gabby could eclipse Ronaldo.
Maybe that’s where Giggsy got his nose put out of joint, thinking he meant CR7 rather than ‘original’ Ronaldo. I would like to say that I think both are decent young prospects and, being English, am excited by Rashfords progress with the National side.
I will not, however, go and say Gabby is better than Rashford. The statistics favor the Brazilian because he has a manager who promotes free-flowing attacking football. His chances to score in any game could reach double figures and so it’s almost unfair to compare. Even on International duty, you have Samba soccer.
Across the City you have a manager who likes to park the bus, and play for the 1-0 smash and grab. If Jesus was in United red, I doubt his numbers would be as good as they are, while Rashford’s probably would be double the current totals.
England will always be England, so there is nothing he can do about that, but he really isn’t at a club where he can reach his full potential.
