It is contrasting feelings for Kevin De Bruyne. At Manchester City, under Pep, he’s loving life. He seems to have taken his game up a notch and he seemingly enjoys playing under the ex Barcelona coach.

Under Martinez, the National team coach, it’s a different story. Managing an inspiring Wigan side, yes they beat us in the cup but were relegated that season too.

Critical of his tactics, Belgium were up twice before being pegged back, and eventually have to grab a draw from a losing position.

Some credit does go to ex Manchester City backroom staff, now Mexico coach Carlos Osario, for pulling off that result under pressure. KDB was substituted and didn’t come back on for the second half. That’s welcome player management as far as City are concerned I am sure.
