This one is just a cheeky little thought. With it being the season of giving, and with United apparantly having to sell before they can buy, maybe we could offer a few Euro’s.

It offers a few benefits for both us and the player though, for a number of reasons both sporting and non sporting.

A young English left back, at only 22, will help our quota of English talent if, as I think later, we need to offload Delph.

A left back who, while at Southampton, was compared to Gareth Bale. Attack minded he had pace along with good decision making and defensive skills.

Mourinho has not been able to get the best out of numerous young players, including our very own KDB. Shaw has 18 months left on his contract, so maybe not a viable option for January, but imagine the bragging rights if City signed him and turned him into the player Trevor Brooking and others thought he could be.
