This one, if true, would also be a fantastic addition. I am not sure how keen Liverpool would be to sell him to a rival, but if we got him that would be competition for Fernandinho.

Aged 23, again he ticks the ‘youth’ box. Building a side,not just for this season and next, but for many seasons ahead.

He can play as a defensive midfielder, but also as a center back or even a full back if needed. Earlier in his career he was compared to other Germany greats, Michael Ballack and Bastian Schweinstiger.

He is physically stong, calm on the ball and a good passer of the ball. Can already has 18 appearances for his National side, and is around a decade younger than both Fernie and Yaya Toure.

Again, like Sanchez, his contract is running down. He will be able to move for free in the summer and, with Juventus circling, maybe we might throw our hook in that particular pond to see if we can get a nibble?
