We have to talk about the elephant in the room. In the summer, as was mentioned once or twice, Sanchez was a target for Manchester City.
All summer, Arsene Wenger stated the Chilean was not for sale and that Pep wouldn’t get his man. As the deadline approached, and we entered the final week, the stance softened.
When the deal seemed signed, Wenger pulled the plug. Now, with the Winter transfer only weeks away from opening, City could again go for their man.
He is contracted to Arsenal, and he will be wearing an Arsenal shirt on Sunday. But where is his mind and how will it affect him when he walks out at the Etihad, knowing he should be in the other line-up?
