The Legend of Phil Foden continues to grow and grow. This week, he led the England U-17 national team in winning the U-17 World Cup by scoring two 2nd half goals.

He won the Golden Ball award for the tournaments best player in the process. The Premier League is littered with tales of youngsters who were brought up too fast but Foden looks like a superstar in the making.

Pep joked he’s going to play him in the next game at whatever position he scored the two goals from. While that’s a bit much (even for me!), there is going to come a point soon where Pep needs to start giving him real Senior Team minutes. Now that City is on to the next round in the Champions League and still alive in the Carabao Cup there should be a few very good chances for this budding starlet to prove he’s ready for the big time.
