Just how good has this guy become over the last 12 months. Criticism was that sometimes his decision-making goal contribution, and effort, was less than that of a top player.

This season he has addressed the goal scoring issue, currently top scorer, with ten in all competitions. Tonight we saw his strength in the box, displaying it early in the second half.

Later, he showed desire, losing the ball and winning it back. The eventual shot blocked by a Napoli defender at the expense of a corner.

Finally he got on the score-sheet. A well deserved goal and certainly very well taken. Still, I remind Liverpool fans and the Sterling boo boys, he is still only 22, only a year older than Dele Alli.
