Zinchenko, Manchester City’s 20-year-old debutante was a mixed bag today. Nominally starting at Left Back, the midfielder by trade spent most of his day on the left-wing, fairly deep in Wolves territory. He looked comfortable with the ball at his feet and confident moving in to positions around the pitch. Zinchenko was mostly unable or unwilling however to aggressively attack on the offensive end. He also was pushed around physically by stronger and more mature defenders. While Zinchenko isn’t ready for Prime Time, he’s a young, talented and versatile and could be a very good fit in Pep’s system down the line.
