Manchester City host Burnley: Things we should know

Players To Watch.
Nick Pope
Nick Pope has taken over as the starting goal keeper for Burnley after Tom Heaton suffered a serious shoulder injury that is expected to keep him out for months. Pope is expected to be tested this weekend as the Sky Blues are averaging over 19 shots per game, creating 3.6 goals per League game. Scoring seven the week before against Stoke, City are expected to keep that pressure going as they continue their push to become the Premier League Champions.
Kevin De Bruyne
The Belgian maestro and Ballon d’Or nominee is the puppet master of the field, dictating the pace of the game and is a force on the pitch. Kevin has only logged 1 goal this season but is in second place in the league for assists, currently having 5. Kevin is so much more than a playmaker as his vision for the game, pace, and passing ability makes him one of the best in the league. De Bruyne is likely to shine again as he will tear open defenses with perfectly weighted passes and through balls.
Sergio Aguero
The Argentine was on the bench last weekend as City hosted Stoke and again in the midweek fixture against Napoli but has yet to play. The striker suffered a broken rib after his taxi collided with a light pole less than 48 hours before City took on the reigning champions, Chelsea. Aguero has yet to make an appearance since his injury but is expected to come off the bench this weekend. Aguero is one of the most lethal strikers in Premier League history and is about to become Manchester City’s all time leading scorer.
