Manchester City host Burnley: Things we should know

Players Missing

Burnley are without four players for the coming match:

  1. Right back Jonathon Walters is out with a knee injury and is not expected to be back for this weeks fixture.
  2. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton is expected to be sidelined for months as he recovers from an early September shoulder injury sustained verse Crystal Palace.
  3. Forward Nahki Wells is still out as he is recovering from an ankle injury from the summer.
  4. Central midfielder Dean Marney is also still out as he suffered a knee injury in January and has yet to return.

Manchester City are also missing two key players as Sergio Aguero has returned to the bench for the last few games:

  1. Skipper and center back Vincent Kompany is still out with a calf injury and is not expected to make an appearance this weekend.
  2. Left back Benjamin Mendy is still a long way from returning as he is recovering from a knee surgery in Barcelona.
