Rest Is Needed.

The game was somewhat frustrating because some passes were not as crisp as we’ve come to expect. Kevin DeBruyne, although good, wasn’t his fluid best.

Leroy Sane was making a ton of control mistakes and all players looked leggy in the second half in particular. Next up for City is a Burnley side flying high in the Premier League.

Will Pep be tempted to rest Jesus and start Aguero? I wouldn’t bet against it. A couple from Fernandinho, Sane, Sterling, Silva and DeBruyne might be pulled with Gundogan, Toure and Bernardo chomping at the bit to get that start.

Then we have the Carabao Cup, which will almost certainly have rotation, before we go away to West Brom and then to Naples.
