Three games into the Champions League campaign and its three wins for City. It started off all so positively for City, with what is becoming a typical start for the Blues. With a side unchanged from the weekend, maybe the legs started to go a little, as City saw out a tough 2-1 victory.
Raheem Sterling opened the scoring, after nine minutes with Gabby Jesus doubling the lead four minutes later. At that point, our recent history in mind, you would expect City to go on a rampage. However, after Kevin DeBruyne hit the crossbar moments before Jesus had a cheeky shot stopped, and then cleared, off the line, you had the feeling something might be a little off.
A penalty awarded for Napoli was saved by Ederson seven minutes from the half. Another, awarded in the second half, was converted to make for a nervous ending. So what do we take away from the game?
