Manchester City: What was learned from the magnificent seven

Winning 7-2 from a 3-0 starting point is easy. Starting the way City did it was cruise control after David Silva’s goal.

Conceding goals just before and after half-time could knock the stuffing from a side. It could easily have had heads drop and a fight back on. Last season, and prior, maybe that would have been the case.

This City regained a two goal cushion less than ten minutes later adding the fifth and sixth within fifteen minutes after Stokes second.
