Sane has dropped out of the German international squad at times, but received a call up this international break and might give their head coach something to think about. He came on the 72nd minute against Northern Ireland, and his pace instantly gave Northern Ireland something to think about. He was electric and kept a chance alive that led to Kimmich’s goal.

Against Azerbaijan, Sane started off on the left as a winger, and again had a huge impact. His pace allowed him to outrun and wear out the opposition defence, and was constantly tormenting them. Unfortunately, his finishing could have been much better, but was able to secure an assist for Leon Goretzka in the 66th minute. He has huge potential for the Germans as does the team in general. Will be interesting to see how he is used moving forward.
