Bear with me a bit on this one. This is a rating based on deadline day dealings, not the overall transfer window. I thought the Reds were relatively successful overall, with the splash signing of Naby Keita (although they won’t get him until next summer), the signing of speedster Salah, and a back-up, true left back. However, in key positions (CB), they were unable to replenish. VVD they had been rumored to sign in what seemed like forever. However, they failed on that front. Additionally, with Coutinho looking to leave, they have not signed a replacement (until next summer at least) and do not have depth in this position.
