Manchester City: Denayer, Adarabioyo to go on loan
By Kee Min
A pair of young center backs will be loaned out. Jason Denayer is heading back to Turkey while Tosin Adarabioyo is likely going to Sunderland.
Jason Denayer will be loaned back to Galatasaray, according to the Daily Record.
The defender spent his 2015/16 season at the same club, where he made eighteen appearances. Sixteen of those eighteen appearances have been starts.
The Belgian is yet to make an appearance for Manchester City after signing from JMG Lier at age seventeen. Last season, Denayer got the taste of the Premier League when he went on a season-long loan to Sunderland. He went on to make twenty-two starts and made a good impression, despite the Black Cats struggling.
Celtic was also said to be interested in Denayer as well. However, the center back rejected Brandon Rodgers’ call. Despite his previous success at the Scottish club, the Belgian decided against joining them for the second time. During his lone season, Denayer was named PFA Scotland Young Player of the year.

Tosin Adarabioyo, on the other hand, will be heading to Sunderland.
Sunderland was also involved in the Denayer sweepstakes, but also struck out. The Black Cats turned their attention and now look to bring in another young City defender.
Adarabioyo signed a new four-year contract after a long stand-off. It is believed that playing time was the biggest issue. Just like Denayer, Adarabioyo never played a minute for City as well. It is curious to see him loaned out after such problem was obvious.
Instead, the Englishman will see the pitch for the Championship side. With the rumors of Johnny Evans coming on, the loan seemed to be the only option for Adarabioyo to receive minutes.

It is somewhat surprising that neither Denayer nor Adarabioyo are not getting his chance. There is an obvious need at the center back position. With the rumors rampant about City signing a new center back, it is curious to see why the youngsters are not utilized more.
