Analysis

After scoring 25 goals in 54 Premier League games for Swansea, Wilfried Bony put on the sky blue shirt and joined Manchester City in January of 2015. At the time, it seemed like the Ivorian is finally going to the club of his goal-scoring caliber. However, the striker was seemingly stuck behind Sergio Aguero and ultimately could not live up to his £25m fee. After a year and a half of lackluster playing time, Bony got a chance to revive his career with Stoke City. Unfortunately, he could only muster up two goals in eleven appearances.

Even though Bony wants to fight for his place, there just seem to be too much competition. Aguero and Jesus are not going anywhere, and even Kelechi Iheanacho might be on his way out. The depth up top is too much for the Ivorian to break through.

Verdict: SELL

It is a shame that once-feared striker like Bony is now floundering. If he can find his Swansea form, the Ivorian will once again command respect. As of now, he just seems lost on the pitch. Hopefully, a change of scenery will help him.
