After another POTY-esque performance from the Belgian, he needs a well-deserved rest. We relied very heavily on him and David Silva this past season, and both were very crucial in all competitions. Funny enough, De Bruyne came off a relatively slow season. Yes, he had the most assists in the Premier League, but he also was relatively ineffective in terms of scoring, and he even received some criticism following the winter break.

Nonetheless, if you’re a City fan you surely are a fan of Kevin de Bruyne. He is an instrumental player in our system and surely will be this coming season. Let’s take a look at what KDB has been up to this summer break so far.

June 9th — International Friendly vs Estonia (2-0)

The lone game the Belgian has starred in this summer was against Estonia and this international friendly. KDB was at his best again, sending in scintillating crosses and always creating chances whether it was for Lukaku or even Vincent Kompany. He also provided an assist for Nacer Chadli on their second goal. Brilliant as always from the Belgian international.

Other news:

In other news, Kevin has been heavily involved with our media team, whether that was with the new kit launch alongside Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling, or in the video series where the F2 Footballers made a guest appearance. In this video, we learned that Kevin de Bruyne never shall play goalkeeper. In a Rabona-style penalty shot taken by one of the F2 footballers, the ball was hit with solid contact, hit the post, then proceeded to hit Kevin in the head and go in. It was truly a spectacle to behold. Enjoy it.

Some more positive news for the Belgian: he recently tied the knot with his lady! What a beauty.
