Combined Best XI: Manchester City vs. Manchester United
By Larry Henry
Second Striker – Marcus Rashford
After a strong debut season for United a year ago, Rashford will be expected to lead the line for the remainder of the season. Due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s ACL injury, the 19-year-old Rashford is expected to start in Thursday’s derby. He has 10 goals across all competitions, with five of them coming in the Premier League. Rashford has tons of talent, and with a top manager leading the way, his game should improve in the coming years. He brings pace up top, which is different from if Zlatan was starting. Rashford netted the winner in this fixture last season, and Manchester City fans will hope that doesn’t happen again this season.
Following their home match on Thursday against United, Manchester City travel to Middlesbrough on Sunday for their second league match in a four-day span.
