Second Centerback – Nicolas Otamendi
The 29-year-old may have been rotating with Aleksandar Kolarov as the #2 centerback, but I feel he should get the nod over the experience Serb. He has made 33 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions this season, and has gotten better along the way. His aerial presence helps the team build from the back, while he is always a threat from corners and free-kicks. Even though Otamendi has made some mistakes this season, he is a physical defender which is what this team needs. The defender also told ESPN FC in a recent interview, that his side will go to Monaco with the purpose to win the match.
