After such an immense previous two seasons, Gabriel Jesus was a welcome sight to City fans when he finally joined the club a few weeks ago. Sergio Aguero experiencing the unfamiliar territory of struggle and was benched by manager Guardiola. With uncertainty around City’s (arguably) most polarizing player as of late, Jesus needed to come into Manchester and make some sort of memorable impact.

Well the player has certainly done just that. After a sub appearance in the final few minutes against Tottenham, and notching an assist in his first full game against Palace in the FA Cup, Jesus came into his first full Premier League match against West Ham and scored impressively in the opening minutes.

However this was to be only a taste of the prodigy’s talents, as he walked right into the next match against Swansea, starting over club legend Aguero to much controversy. The Brazilian went on to repay Pep Guardiola’s trust, scoring a solid brace in an overall impressive performance to lead City to victory.

While the young striker still has plenty more to prove, and critics still to sway, he has certainly shown already that he has the talent needed to be a Manchester City player.
