Second Centerback – Eric Dier

The 23-year-old is a young star for Tottenham and has been forced into several roles. A defensive midfielder by-trade, Dier can play centerback too and I think would work better with Alderweireld than Nicolas Otamendi or John Stones. He joined Spurs in 2013/14 after playing for Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon. In two seasons in London, Dier has six goals and four assists which is a good total for a young defensive player. He will most-likely take Vertonghen’s spot next to Alderweireld for Spurs, and should be a future regular for England.
