With Manchester City‘s huge EPL showdown with Tottenham taking place on Saturday, I decided to create a best starting XI between the two sides.

After a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Everton a week ago, Manchester City are looking to defeat Tottenham, who sit second in the table. A win would give Pep Guardiola‘s side a huge boost of momentum in the Barclays Premier League title race. Plus, Saturday should be the debut of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus, who joined Manchester City earlier this month. Tottenham have won seven matches in-a-row in all competitions and will be stubborn competition on Saturday at the Etihad. Our combined XI will be a 4-4-2 formation, chosen out of eligible players.

Goalkeeper – Hugo Lloris

Hugo is a top keeper in the Premiership and easily one of the best in the world at saving shots. The French #1 has found a nice home at White Hart Lane, and currently signed a new contract under Mauricio Pochettino. He makes smart decisions with the ball, and is aggressive enough to fight off attackers on corners and free-kicks to win balls. He easily is in the discussion of being the best keeper in the Barclays Premier League.
