Manchester City had a very up and down 2016, as did most of the world. 2017 could bring more glory or more heartache to the club and it’s supporters.

2016 was quite the year for Manchester City Football Club. Winning the League Cup trophy early on and advancing to the semifinals of the Champions League for the first time were two of the better highlights. The year ended on a dour note as City stumbled to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on New Years Eve night.

2017 could become a banner year for City. The second half of the Premier League season still has everything to play for. Meanwhile City are into the second round of the Champions League and there should be no manager turnover distractions for the foreseeable future. City’s ambitions are high and hopefully the team and staff can step up to ensure that 2017 is even better than 2016 was.
