#1 – Pep Guardiola

Some will consider the signing of Pep Guardiola the same as winning a trophy. Only a Premier League title or Champions League win, would have topped Pep’s arrival in 2016. Clearly the defining moment of the year for the club, great expectations are now surrounding the organization in the coming seasons.

His honors list as a manager is almost unmatched. Three La Liga titles, two Champions League victories, three FIFA Club World Cups, and three Bundesliga titles. Pep has made a few key signings, and demonstrated his belief in his system. While the play has been hot and cold for the first few months, given another year, he should have the team operating on another level.

We can hope that the top 2017 moment is not the arrival of someone, well unless it is Messi, and instead the lifting of a major trophy.
