#2 – Capital One Cup Victory
Okay some will argue that the Capital One Cup doesn’t matter. I disagree. After a strong run under Pellegrini it was nice to have his final year with the team end with lifting a trophy. It was the second time City won the League Cup in the past three years.
Facing Liverpool in the final, Willy Cabellero kept his manager’s faith after manning the nets for City throughout the entire competition. After 1-1 in regular time, City topped Liverpool 3-1 in penalties, Navas, Aguero and Toure scoring. It is always good to have at least one trophy to brighten years without the EPL title.
