In the absence of Sergio Aguero he got the start. However he was slotted to start out wide versus up top. Even though City rotate around, it is curious to put De Bruyne up top versus Nolito. He had very little impact in the match before being subbed out early in the second half. During Hull’s defensive periods, the team could have used Nolito in the box more as the poacher.
