City’s French fullback hasn’t had the best time early this season. Whether it’s been sitting behind Aleksandar Kolarov or being bullied off of 50/50 balls at crucial times, this is far from the same Clichy from last season. The Frenchman’s form can certainly improve, but it seems Guardiola is determined to use Kolarov in the bigger games. This means Clichy will need to always be ready and perform when called upon,  no matter how rare that may be.
