A look at the best combined XI between Manchester City and Manchester United ahead of Wednesday’s English Football League Cup match.

Across both expensive lineups, who makes the starting XI? We will use a 4-4-2 formation to best suit both the Manchester City and United lineups.

Goalkeeper: Claudio Bravo

Yes, De Gea is valuable as well, but this was a given after that result from the weekend. Bravo, recently had a howler of a game as well against Barcelona, but did bounce back against Southampton. If not for a bad John Stones back pass City would likely have kept a clean sheet, won the match and be clear on points, not goal difference. At the moment Claudio beats out David.
