Manchester City vs. Southampton: Combined XI
By Larry Henry
Left Back: Aleksandar Kolarov
This was a tough choice but Kolarov seems the most likely at LB. Gael Clichy is up in age and provides solid defending but not as much as Kolarov on the offensive side. Southampton’s Matt Targett is a young talent who has split time with the more experienced Ryan Bertrand.

I feel that Kolarov can break out some matches and really be on his game both in attack and on defense which makes him a wild-card. Targett is still learning how to play in the Premier League while Bertrand brings experience and grit to the game. Kolarov’s ability on free-kicks is another benefit to the Serbian’s game.
