Manchester City vs. Southampton: Combined XI
By Larry Henry
Striker: Sergio Aguero
The Argentine has been lights out for MCFC the last couple season scoring some big time goals. in three of the last five EPL seasons, Aguero has netted over 20 goals (23, 26, 24). He is a clear favorite at this position and doesn’t have much competition.
Kelechi Iheanacho is a young prodigy at forward that needs game time in other competitions. Saints forward Charlie Austin has found a nice groove to the start of the season scoring seven goals in all comps but needs to continue that on a consistent basis. Shane Long is also a possibility but seems to have taken a back seat to Austin who is in good form. Long netted 12 goals in all comps last season but has not scored yet this campaign. Aguero is a world-class player and has paid Manchester City back over the years with some crucial goals to help lift silverware.
