A look at the best combined XI between Manchester City and Barcelona ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash at the Camp Nou.

Based on both team’s preferred formations we will use a standard four at the back, three midfielders, two wingers/attackers, and a sole striker for our purposes. First up the last line of defense.

Goalkeeper: Claudio Bravo

This choice is tough, as Manchester City’s current goalkeeper is the recent Barcelona transfer Claudio Bravo. The Chilean has been mostly excellent, with a few big mistakes in his time so far. But his presence on the ball has been second to none.

This decision was particularly hard as Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is Barca’s keeper of the future, a player they believed talented enough and with high enough potential to let Bravo move to City.

However, both players have had a few errors in their respective seasons so far, and while Ter Stegen certainly has a higher ceiling, Claudio Bravo is the better player right here right now.
