Manchester City Architect Designing NYCFC Facility
NYCFC, part of the Manchester City Group, announces a new training facility in New York to be designed by the architect who built the City’s academy ground.
Manchester City is more than just a powerful, global football team. They are a football that is starting to have the largest and deepest roots in the entire game worldwide. Last week we looked at the reports that City may be about to purchase a club in China.

However, this week they, along with NYC FC, announced a new training facility outside of New York City. The site will be located in Orangeburg, New York, about 20 miles north of downtown. Construction is set to begin this fall, and once completed will feature over 25,000 square feet of office space, rehab centers, and grass fields.
The facility was designed by Rafael Viñoly, who also did the training grounds for Manchester City and Melbourne City.

While the MLS is mostly on break this weekend due to the international break, NYCFC have a friendly in Mexico. David Villa, Andrea Pirlo, Frank Lampard and company are heading south to take on Club Necaxa tonight.
