Samir Nasri

Persistent injuries limited Samir Nasri to just a handful of appearances last season. Forced to train alone due to weight issues, the £25m playmaker completed a loan switch to Sevilla on deadline day. Guardiola attempted to persuade the Frenchman to stay moments before Nasri agreed to join the Europa League champions.

Fellow Frenchman Seko Fofana wrapped up a £2.5m switch to Italian club Udinese. 21 year-old George Glendon will continue his development at Fleetwood Town. Additionally, Kosovan star Bersant Celina joins FC Twente on a temporary basis. There are further loan moves for Jack Byrne (Blackburn Rovers) and Bruno Zuculini (Rayo Vallecano).
