Having the best manager in the world isn’t enough for Manchester City, they have plans to reveal a unique stadium feature that should a lot of interest.

Manchester City already have plans to increase their capacity to over 60,000 in the seasons to come. Now reports are coming out that they are planning a first for not online the EPL for Europe as well.

The plans would replace the existing tunnel with a glass walkway for the players. The glass tunnel would run from the locker rooms to the pitch. Fans would be able to watch not only the Manchester City players and staff, but the opposing team as well.

Imagine having the opposing team have to look out on a full Etihad while standing in the tunnel. Or seeing the emotions coming off the pitch at half-time or the end of a match.

The design idea comes from the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. They have a cafe that fans can hang out in throughout the match and be there as the players exit the locker room. People can eat and drink while watching players go to and from the field, with big screen TVs of the action.

It is unclear if other teams will raise issue with City’s plans. The EPL currently doesn’t have any regulations against this. However, you can be sure rivals will attempt to stop the move. If City get clearance the construction should start at the conclusion of this season and be ready for the start of the 17/18 EPL year.

Manchester City hasn’t released any drawings of the design yet, but expect them sometime in the months to come.
