Manchester City rivals: Which EPL club poses biggest threat to title push?

Though not as dire as Hull, Burnley returns to the Premier League after a single year absence and faces a steep uphill climb. Manager Sean Dyche cited troubles for Burnley in the transfer market.

“It was well documented, it was Angel Di Maria at that time and now it is Paul Pogba. His fee is more than Burnley have ever spent in their whole history and that gives you a measure of where we are in the grand scheme of the market,” he said to Sky Sports.

Indeed, the two full-time signings Burnley added come from lowly Charlton Athletic in League One. That gives a pretty good appraisal of the club’s capabilities and aspirations this season as compared to Manchester City’s.
