Fernando

Fernando’s performances at the start of his City career made certain fans slightly skeptical about his abilities. However the Brazilian grew into his role, next to fellow Brazilian Fernandinho, as a defensive stopper – blocking counter attacks left, right and center. Although his style of play is not the most aesthetically pleasing, this City squad needs the grit and aggression that Fernando brings to the table. He will never get the credit of the bigger stars of the team however his solidity is a major part of the backbone of the team.
