Fernandinho

Arguably City’s best player of the season last year, it would be a massive shock to see him on the bench for the Premier League opener. His endless energy and aggressive defensive style of play, with the ability to link up attacking play seamlessly, makes him the perfect fit for the Manchester City midfield. Guardiola has already spoken his praise for the Brazilian claiming he ‘can play 10 positions’ which led people to believe the Catalan coach wants to convert him into a centre back (as he did with Javi Martinez at Bayern and Javier Mascherano at Barcelona).
