This past Sunday, Manchester City unveiled their new 2016-2017 home kit from Nike.
This past Sunday Manchester City official welcomed new manager Pep Guardiola, but as part of that event the team revealed their new 16/17 Nike kit. The home kit features the traditional city blue, with dark blue sleeves and a dark blue stripe down the side. While overall feedback online appeared positive about the design of the jersey, fans were expectantly frustrated at the 101 pound price (roughly $133 US dollars) for the full kit.

Just the jersey will set you back 60 pounds or 80 US dollars. Addition to detail was not forgotten as the team’s founding year 1894 is featured in the side of the cuffs, and the word ‘CITY’ is sewn into the back of the collar. On hand for the event were players from the men’s, women’s and youth Man City teams, all which feature the same design.
The next question on fans minds is will there be a new big name player to see on the back of a City jersey in the weeks to come. The surprise inclusion on stage with Pep for the reveal was forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
