Manchester City signing news and rumours all in one relatively convenient place, with commentary and opinions thrown in for good measure.

The Euros are pretty great for your average Manchester City fan. We get to watch all our lads out competing without the emotional investment to lose sleep over how well or otherwise. Except for England and, naturally, wouldn’t you know Raheem Sterling and Joe Hart haven’t been all that good? If you see someone walking around in a light blue shirt with a paper bag over their head, you’ll know why. Heck, it could even be me.

Of course, there is another good thing about the Euros, which is getting to see all of the potential signings City manager Pep Guardiola is going to make, financed by Sheikh Mansour’s ever-flowing spring of cash. The good players? Those are the one’s City is obviously linked with and there’s even a dubious article in The Star, The Sun, The Express or Manchester Evening News, to prove it. The not so good players? Don’t want them and who cares what BILD has to say about our interest. You’ve heard it all before.

Indeed the cycle repeats itself on a yearly basis. This year, however, there’s a new dynamic in play that should give many would-be armchair managers pause for thought – Pep is quite unlike anyone we’ve seen lead the club in the past or, indeed, any club in the league. He thinks differently, he works differently, he’s looking for something other than star power, prowess and often even statistics. People have written books about the enigma that is Guardiola. I honestly don’t mind much as long as he brings results, which he oft does.

Either which way, the rumor mill is spinning furiously and I can’t be the only one struggling to keep up. We’ll try, yet again, to summarized where we stand on things and perhaps tackle that same question aforementioned authors struggled with, what does Pep actually want, and see how that impacts the likelihood of any deals actually going through. No promises on resolutions, but plenty of food for thought. Let’s begin.
