Manchester City head over to Stretford for the Manchester derby at the theatre of leaky rooves. There will be nervy blues after the Southampton thrashing.

But who will Pep line up with, and will he tinker?

Ederson

Whilst our big Brazilian who only cost 30 million gets plenty of stick from FIFA kids, we have seen that all of our keepers are prone to boo boo’s – let’s stick the goat Carson in.

Walker

We have seen that walker isn’t a CB. We don’t need further proof of that, point taken Pep! I expect to see him back in his natural position.

Stones

I suspect Stones was being wrapped in cotton wool for this very fixture.

Laporte

The Frenchman was one of the only players that started the game midweek that looked composed and can hold his head up high. He and Stones are the best partnership we currently have.

Cancelo

Do I feel Cancelo has played himself into the side? No. Do I think Ake deserves to keep his place? Yes. Do I believe our defence is more solid with Ake on the left? Yes. And I think Pep will go with Cancelo.

Rodri

GODRI! We’ve seen the disaster without him. No further explanation required. Right?

De Bruyne

I don’t see KDB being left out of such a crucial game, though I hope we see him take the knee to tie his laces, because then we know he means business.

Bernardo

Bernie loves himself a Manchester derby and let’s face it, he has more passion in his left (foot)ball than the entire starting XI did on Wednesday.

Mahrez

One of the only in form players we currently possess. He deserves his start after his shining performances recently. Working so much harder! Brilliant stuff.

Grealish

The other that seems to have picked up some form in recent games. His special stat that I won’t jinx hours before the derby remains.

Haaland

Get that big Nordic Meat Shield up top!

What are your Manchester derby predictions, blues?

How important is January for the blues?
