Kevin’s current contract runs out in 2023, the same year that Pep Guardiola’s contract is set to run out too. It is believed that both the parties in this scenario in Kevin de Bruyne and Manchester City, are happy and are confident about reaching an agreement soon enough. This has been confirmed by Fabrizo Romano as well. The 29-year-old’s current wages of 300,000 pounds/week is set to receive a slight boost as well.

In the background, we have the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain keeping a close eye on the situation at the Etihad are looking to land Kevin de Bruyne. In an unlikely scenario where the negotiations between the Belgian and the former Premier League champions fall off, one can expect a heavy price tag on the midfielder’s head. The sum is most likely to exceed well over 100 million pounds since there are more than two years left in his contract.

The 29-year-old is close to turning 30 but remains an asset for the club nonetheless.

This is a very delightful piece of information for all the Manchester City fans as KDB has been one of the mainstays of the club in recent years. However, the Cityzens’ record-breaking goalscorer in Sergio Aguero is yet to sign a contract extension at the club. Should he fail to do so, one will see him walk out as a free agent at the end of this season. One can only hope that the Argentine follows his teammate and pal in Kevin de Bruyne by signing a new contract.
