Gabriel Jesus

Industrious and full of running. Deserved his goal which he took well

Player Rating 8

Phil Foden

Came on and looked assured and skillful, like David Silva has somehow been placed in a time machine and we have gone back 17 years. Made some really important interceptions and looks every ounce the real thing. Next season should be the moment for him.

Player Rating 9

Fabian Delph

Good to see Delph back on the pitch even if it was at right back! Linked up well but saw little of the ball.

Man City Square Man of the Match

There were so many outstanding performances on the pitch in this wonderful result that it seems churlish to select a single player  for an award. The whole team was functioning at the best levels and linked so well together. However this was an exemplary game by Leroy Sane. A goal and three assists is an excellent return for a winger. I also love it that Guardiola said Sane did not work hard enough!
