It’s that time again when we choose our three Manchester City players who will score well in the Fantasy Football this week.

The first thing to say is that my last week choices fail to bring in the points for my team, with my surprise choice not playing and my points banker only coming on for the last minute of the game.

Sergio Aguero failed to capitalise on a weak Arsenal defence and was thwarted by Petr Cech in goal to score only two points.

Now it’s time to forget about those poor choices and choose the right players for this week, with three new Manchester City players featuring on this week’s list for the game at home to Huddersfield.

It is difficult to predict the players who will line up in tomorrow’s fixture as Pep Guardiola will want to rotate as much as possible before a heavy load of fixtures come into play in September.

Although Huddersfield managed to come away from the Etihad with a point last season, the result is likely to be completely different as it comes in a different period of the season.

The opponents are unlikely to get many chances at Ederson’s goal so a defender will feature on this week’s list. It was a tough choice between all four players who featured last week. Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy will be able to provide the assists from either flank but I’ve gone for John Stones in this week’s pick. He is priced at £5.5m and impressed against Arsenal last week.

Both central defenders will be a threat from corners, potentially scoring six points for a goal adding to their likely clean sheet bonus. I would had picked, Aymeric Laporte, however, I feel Nicolas Otamendi may come into the team for this fixture.

The next choice is Gabriel Jesus. According to the Guardian, the Brazilian will hopefully be starting ahead of Sergio Aguero for the game and will look to begin his goal campaign as the champions return home for the first time since achieving the 100 point mark. He is £0.5 million cheaper than the Argentine.

Now, I’ve come to my toughest choice for this week’s top three City players. It is difficult to chose between Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Riyad Mahrez, David Silva but I’ve chosen Bernardo Silva to score me points. He is likely to be chosen as Kevin De Bruyne’s replacement after he will miss three months of action due to the knee injury sustained in training.

The Portuguese will be looking to add his goal last week as he will be pressed into a more attacking role this time around. He will pick my selection’s captains armband.

My this week choices doesn’t reflect my current FF team.

My Team: K Schmeichel (Leicester City), V Van Dijk (Liverpool), A Robertson (Liverpool), N Ake (Bournemouth), B Silva (Manchester City), R Neves (Wolves), R Sessegnon (Fulham), Jahanbakhsh (Brighton), S Aguero (Manchester City), P Emerick-Aubameyang (Arsenal), W Zaha (Crystal Palace).
